Nevertheless, I will try my best to blog more frequently.
For anyone new to following me, I was first inspired to set up a blog when I tried my hand at writing Sensory Stories, way back in 2013! Wow, that seems so long ago now.
Those were the days where I faced technology head on and was up there Blogging and Tweeting with the world. However, since leaving my lovely job at Ash Grove Academy last November, Tweeting is now residing on the back burner - but my current mantra is "Never say never" - so it's just a case of watch this space fellow Tweeters - I may be back.
Anyway - back to blogging - The summer of 2016 I took to blogging again, you can read our story here - https://therudges.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/ and I thought that I would be able to continue blogging at the same pace here in Troon...but it hasn't happened, no idea why not, maybe too much time spent keeping the coffee shop economy of Troon in a healthy state.
So, this is my aim - to blog more often on this site and hopefully if all goes to plan I will be creating an additional blog spot - reconnecting with Ash Grove children and staff, developing and supporting literacy skills.
To achieve all this blogging, my future posts on here may start to vary in length and content, which in itself will present a different kind of challenge - it's not what to include, but what to leave out.
So much has happened since I last posted, I think a series of mini blogs just to cover the months of March, April and May alone might have to happen.
 |
Pastor's Report, BIND Assembly March 2018, Northern Ireland |
 |
The start of the journey towards ordination |
 |
Part of the wider church family in Troon. Good Friday 2018 at St Ninians Episcopal Church, Troon. |

 |
May blossom at Culzean |
What I don't want to do is bore people with endless photos of this beautiful part of the world, but I really just can't help snapping away with my little camera, and if you ever visit, you too may be bitten by the 'must take another photo' bug.
So in the future I will try to include more variety...maybe some blogs about:
Nature - God's beautiful creation...
Or learning new skills.....the joys
 |
Learning how to crochet - more tutorials - good old You Tube!
|
AND the pains!
 |
Yes - unravelling all 64 crochet squares!! Must remember to count the stitches next time!
|
Learning how to paint!!
 |
First attempt at acrylic on canvas. Call out to John Morris - Indebted for his faith in me and patience with me! |
... and maybe some people might even be interested in what goes on in our wee town? - well you never know?
 |
Our lovely library - one day I am going to make it my mission to sit on that bench and read. |
Of course I will be including posts about the blessings (and if I am honest - the challenges too) as we do our best to serve God here in Troon with the Gifts He has given us.
 |
Our church |
 |
Get up out of your comfort zone Pamela Rudge! |
And of course there is always news about the family
 |
John, Rebecca, Ezra and Grandad
|
and if you happen to visit then you too may be included...
 |
Our first guest - ever grateful for the regular contact and prayer support of a good friend. Thanks Lesley - you know how much it means to us. |
Then there are those special times and moments.............
Those precious times when it is just the two of us. Where we make time and space for each other.
Just times where we walk, talk, listen, reflect, plan, laugh and cry (yes well you know me, and yes it has happened, and yes it was in a public place and yes it was over something completely random, and maybe one day I will share - but hey, that's me - tissues always at the ready - unless it's at your husbands Induction Service!).
So if some of my future blogs are just not your cup of tea, just bear with.... (oh I appear to have slipped into Tilly mode from Miranda!)
Moving forward ...... future blogs may appear shorter; some may be lots of photos and few words; and some will be the familiar mix of my musings, God times, and general escapades of me as a Pastor's wife with L plates on (yes, David's not the only one sporting L plates!)
Not knowing who my blog audience is - I want to include enough content to keep everyone interested, and involved. Involved? Well of course. What I hope for is that is some small way we can keep connected.
Hope that is ok?
So over to you......what would you like me to include?
(Now why am I worried about what some of you may reply to that question?
Perhaps because I know some of you too well!)
 |
....and no, I am not blogging about anything to do with fancy dress - and Yes, I am in that outfit somewhere - thanks June! |
Can I just say how overwhelmed I am that you have taken the time to get this far down in reading this blog! It is quite a strange feeling when writing - as I have no idea if the blog is just sitting out there in the cyberworld ether, or whether people are interested enough to open the link.
If you are one of those people - then thank you.
I have been encouraged by some witty and thoughtful comments about my previous blogs and that inspires me to carry on - and even better, I now have this beauty to capture all my thoughts in...
 |
Thank you to my lovely girls for this brilliant present - they know me too well! |
So for now, I will leave you with a few photos as to what I am supposed to be doing rather than blogging.......
 |
Well hello loft! |
 |
Really! How much bedding and cushions do two people really need?! |
 |
That moment when you are so glad that you didn't flat pack and recycle all those boxes! |
 |
Might take this house packing up as a new job! (joke!!!) |
So this could well be the last blog from the manse...and I apologise for any typos. grammatical errors and the like....but currently have a roll of packing tape in one hand and a laptop in the other..we are not moving far, but will leave that story for another day.
I have lots of thoughts about my next blog, but then again, who knows what it will be like...it's a case of watch this space.
Thanks for reading
Pam
